Traxxas is a 16th scale brushless waterproof ESC, Im not sure of the footprint but it should work fine.

Castle Creations is great, some of the best components and service in the business. But they are NOT waterproof at all.

i was meaning more like water proof as in hitting a little puddle in a parking lot would a little sprinkle hurt it at all or driving over some snow

just wrap the esc in a balloon and it will help with the puddles and such not waterproof completely but it will be water resistant

how well would it handle the heat in a ballon? would there be a cooling issue at all? I have a mamba 25 right now and its by far better than the tekin i have. I just reprogrammed it and wow the settins you can change are great compared to what you can change on the tekin.

if your budget will allow i would go with the micro pro although i run the sidewinder and i have had no problems at all and as far as the balloon goes i had no issues with heat at all , but i never over gear and always run a 2s lipo .

from what i have read the micro pro can handle hotter motors and more voltage again just what i have read check out www.castlecreations.com one thing i am sure of is the programability (if thats a word) of the mamba's you can set up your esc to perform exactly how you want it
