what to do
ok got my desert truck and fixing to put lipo on it... but i have heard i need to change my esc is this true and if so what kind do i need

Either a 6800 on 2s or a 5400 on 3s... though if you don't want to go lipo even an 8000kv on 6 cells might not get to 35mph.
I wouldn't count on a brushed motor getting you to 35 mph btw.

i really dont care about 35 that much it would be nice but i run this thing on a little track and just want a little more power than what its got i found a Associated Reedy Mini-Max Modified Electric Motor has anyone used them are there a better motor out there... this is really my first electric other than a little micro t i just run nitro trucks

what sort of budget are you working with ? you could grab a venom fireball motor for like 10 bucks and a 2s lipo bat. for like 12 bucks and a cheap charger/balencer for another 10 or so that would get you moving along better then stock for sure

Your out of your mind if you think you cant get 35mph out of a brushed motor.
I have used Reedys Modified with great success and they are great little motors. Of course other people will say that there are better motors but just remember that everybody is going to have favorites so look more at actual stats.
