m8/revo gearing question
 

I have the velineon 380 with a 23t pinion and 45t spur/slipper from a mini revo in the m8. I know the hot racing m8 spur gear is known for chewing up the pinions. Im wondering if people have had the same problem with the hot racing metal gear for the mini revo? I believe the mini revo gears are 48p compared to the 5 mod of the m8.
