1/28 1/24 scale basement drift track
 

hey all,
my 3 kids and I decided to build an indoor drift track. I built an 8' x 10' table in the basement but I need suggestions on the table top surface.
and maybe what cars we should be running. I want to stay small 1/28 1/24 scale.
I've looked at WL-toys, Sino hobby, and a couple of others but really not sure what to get. I'm trying to stay around $50+ each car if possible
the micro Z is out of the question for right now.
I'm an outdoor 1/10 touring car/ monster truck basher usually and have been in and out of the hobby for a long time,
so drifting is a new thing to me.
any help on the car choice and table setup would be greatly appreciated.
