Easy micro-t e-clip fix
 

** This was not my idea, I am pretty sure that eyekandyboats said something about it somewhere on here**

First off, you need to rip off the e-clip. I did this with pliers. The first one wouldn't move until I twisted the thing up with a screwdriver. 2nd one came off perfectly. ONce you do that, take off the wheels. Do you see the little circle thing in the center of the tire that pops out? Well you need to shave that off. I did this with a dremel

This camera isn't that good, but that dremel was moving at 7500rpm when I took that photo.[&:]

Once you do that, the center ridge thing should be completely gone, like this:

If it does, then put it back on the axle, and pesh the body clip on (I used stock ones, but I don't have anymore to do the front, I can't even attach the body now[&o] ) and it should look like this:

The reason why you need to shave off the center ridge thing is because other wise it binds, but will still move.
THese also work great because if there is hair on the axle or something, you can just remove the clip instead of trying to remove those evil e-clips. It does look kinda dumb though.

They worked fine for me.[&:] Give it a minute to load, they are 600x 800.

Grab the m with needle nose pliers. And then just start ripping. You can also try getting under then with a small flathead and that'll lift it up and loosen it, and sometimes even pop it off.

E-clips drive me crazy. I personally would like to see some threaded axles and a lock nut.

Do they have threaded axles, I've never seen one in person so Im not sure?

Nope, it just a straight smooth peice a metal, with a notch in it for the e-clip.

i did mine like these a little wile after i got it, you dont even need to grind the wheel any...

I did on mine, because it was really slowing it down and binding.

I use a razor blade a stick it in the small crack opposite the opening and pry so when they do come off there not gone

Just a thought but you can buy a 4 piece e-clip tool for $10.00

I find it kind of comical that so many people have problems with these little e clips. It is quite simple. I am assuming your all have at least one hand with five fingers..........right? So if you do then you must be able to move your fingers.....right? OK for those of you that did qualify and are still with me, here is a simple trick. Use your fingernail! LOL Is there a reason you must use an object to remove them? Heck no. Unless your one of those prettty nail guys (prefectly manicured.....everyday) you should be able to easily pop them off with your fingernail. If not use your dremel and put a notch in your nail.....LOL! Just kidding! Your thumb will be right there of smoosh against the rim and axle so is sandwiches the clip and it won't fly anywhere. I put them on with my mail too. They are very small and flexible. Forcing them with other metal abjects is not the answer.

I use my fingernails and it works fine, but I still pop a clip off into never-land every once in a while. I just realized last night that I have some UV paint in a spray can so I sprayed all my e-clips and screws with it and if I lose one, I can just turn on a blacklight and they magically appear. [8D] I'll see if I can get a pic of how well it works over the weekend.

Where did you get that set ?

I have been using jeweller's screw drivers carefully. No problems (so far).

i never have any problem with e clips. i just use an exacto knife to get under them and use my thumb to keep them from flying away. Then when reinstalling them just position it and snap it on
