RE: Discreet Question
Dang SoarRich! That's a darn good combination. Its almost exactly what I use in my NutBalls that use an 8-inch prop. Perhaps a higher KV version like this one . . .
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8142
Which calls for a 6X3 prop would be closer to a BabyBee - and throttled down could be PeeWee-ish (love that throttle channel!).
But another important factor is to use a small li-po. I've had good luck with this one . . .

In any case, the weight with battery and ESC of electric conversions has not been a problem for my .010 through .049 efforts as the larger props AND the throttle make all the difference for me.
(my latest is a foam version of Dereck Woorward's TD .010 Tiny Bit - 3.8 oz, Turnigy 2211-1700kv, 5x4.3, same battery as above)
Be warned Skaliwag, its hard to go back (except for the smell and the noise).

RE: Discreet Question
I have a realy tired baby bee that puts out the power of of pee wee. I don't get the "E" part of the question though. Are you looking for a Peee Weee? I think that was just a mis-spelling on feebay, don't think they ever made one.

I think it looks so ridiculous having a nice tiny airplane with a giant orange paddle on the front.

It kills me to say it because I can talk engines all day, and when they start talking electric motors my eyes just glaze over, but the little electrics are the way to go for anything under a 20 size plane.

...and flicking it won't make it go.
Connect a speaker and engine sound WAV to the throttle - More stik, more volume for added realism.

RE: Discreet Question
You want to turn exactly the same prop? 4.5x2 at what 17k? That's 20 shaft watts and you'll want to look for a motor with a Kv of about 3200 for a 2 cell LiPo. Since the motor will only be about 75% efficient you'll need ~27W input. Power ratings are a bit tricky because many manufacturers overrate their motors. So make sure it can handle at at least 30W continuous.

RE: Discreet Question
There is no substitute for a Pee Wee .020 and a quart of 20% nitro, except perhaps a 1/2A diesel and lots of ether. I'm having way too much fun using a modern Rx and one servo to fly these days. Beats the crap out of the Bentert and Baby Adams actuator set up I flew when I was in high school. I know that the only electric flight package I ever bought is someplace in the workshop, but I have no clue where or any desire to find it.

RE: Discreet Question
How about a PeeWee on diesel as a replacement?
It spins a 6x3 prop just shy of 10krpm and I get a lot more consistent runs compared to glow on large props.

You're not making any sense. Can you rephrase that?

RE: Discreet Question
I have the DDD .020 head and I do use it on my third Pee Wee. As long as I don't try to get anything more than 10K with a 6x3 it works wonderfully. Over compress or needle too lean and there goes a con rod or a crank. Twenty years ago replacing parts was no problem, but now I am very careful with my red tank .020s.
