Springtime at last!
Southern Texas is covered with beautiful blue skies, calm breezes, and the temp is 72F so I took advantage of it and did some 1/2A flying today. Flew my TD .049 powered Das Splat Jr and Medallion .09 powered Pong Two several times each. What a nice change from the cold and cloudy weather we've had recently! After dealing with a lot of life's other stresses lately it was nice to get out and put some models in the air with smoke trails behind them.
Hope all you guys get over the winter blues and get to do some flying soon.

Today was "Champagne flying weather" in Georgia as well. Quite a change from last night's bad storm.
I wish I would have had time to get the Little Extra out and do several flights but I had just enough time for a quick 10 minute go with my lekkie Astro 010 powered foamy.
Still, it was a glorious 10 minutes with beautiful sunshine, temps in the low 70's, very mild breeze.
Yep, it was gorgeous [8D]

It's been above 30 for the past few days, feels positively Tropical!
I flew this weekend, but it was an electric pylon racer in high winds. Fine if you are on the wick, not so good when landing toward a stand of trees on the other side of the field.

Yeah, Winter is killing me!! Luckily I get to spend a week back home in Houston for a friend's wedding beginning Wednesday! Unfortunately I won't have any models there to fly. Maybe the thaw will be here soon and I can fly something other than my ultra-micro T-28 and hover my HK-450 in the driveway. Sadly as soon as it starts melting here it will likely be a pretty serious flood this year . Really anxious for some warm thumbs time to maiden my "Ace-Heaven" Fora powered sheet winger I built this winter. At least I can still look forward to getting some sunshine, LoneStar beer and a few chicken fried steaks and some of Mom's BBQ!! Todd
