Default Vintage Cox Radio

I'm wondering if someone could tell me about how the Cox Failsafe radio worked and what the receiver and servo looked like and where I might find them.

Pushing the left or right button would give a non-proportional rudder input, i.e. full deflection, for one second then it would neutralize.

on a single channel the elevator is fixed with slight upward motion the tail/rudder is "wagged" to keep the plane from constant climb...as I understand it...Rog

Yup, fixed elevator. It climbed gently under power, and limiting the rudder "on" time would prevent entering a spiral dive as you attempted to guide it where you want. That, and the modest amount of rudder deflection and authority. Then power off, same deal, nudging it in the direction you want.

Hi Gregory,

This is all I have that can help you find the right flight pack for your controller.

If you are able and willing to use Ebay, perform a search on Cox Radio Failsafe or its model numbers and save the search and have your preferences email you when new listings are posted.
