Coroflute biplane with Cox Baby Bee
Just in case someone missed it I just want to notice that Bruce Simpson, the man behind RcModelReviews.com, has uploaded videos about how to build a $10-biplane in 20 minutes. The plane is made of Coroflute and powered by a Cox Baby Bee.
You find the videos here:

The second build video isn't published yet, but i will update this post as soon as it is.

A very nice project. Simple yet very attractive. And it flies great to boot!
378, for other corroplast designs that may suit you better look at the SPAD forums. That's SPAD = Simple Plastic Airplane Design.

This is a new type of construction for me so I'm anxious to try it for a change. I sourced a sheet of corroplast this morning at the local Home Depot for $6, and in no time I had 2 wings and a horizontal tail cut out. Waiting for Part 2 of the video now.

I agree. I can't wait for the second video to find out how he did the fuse. I spent some time over on the SPADWorld site but found it hard to navigate. I think this would be a great project for my nephew (8 yrs old) and I to do. Maybe make two - one control line for him and one RC for me.

You guys really should check with sign shops in your area. I get 4x8 sheets any color for $12 from a sign shop here. I showed them a picture of what I was doing and I've even taken planes in there to let them know I'm not a competitor buying materials from them and then selling signs. If you just want to build 1 or 2 this size, those sheets at HD & Lowe's are ok I guess. If the bug bites, you're gonna need to buy in bulk.

I really enjoyed the vids, especially of the biplane flying. Its a very nice flyer. I too would like to see the fuselage build vid.
I was inspired enough to order a Cox engine set-up, and even designed a coro biplane like the one shown in the vids. My version has more sexy curves though.
All I have is 4mm coro... will this be too heavy for a Cox engine (wing span is 22 inches, length is 20)? I've never built a plane for a Cox engine, but I am building my first coroplast nitro plane for a .28 engine.

Yep.....waiting. I found another piece of coroplast at my local sign shop. They weren't very fond of selling me the stuff but let me have a 1'x5' scrap piece of cub yellow for $10. At least my airplane will be two-tone now.

It might actually be a good place to try using the hot glue gun, but I've had better luck with Goop. I just wonder if the Hot glue is going to hold up on the days when it's in the upper 90's here.
Exocett, I find it interesting you had problems 'Navigating' on the Spadworld site. Having digitally grown up on the sites, or the other way round, I've never had problems with it, or several different platforms. Was it a personal problem, a site linking problem, or whatever. Also, are we talking the Plans site at Spadtothebone or the forum site Spadworld? Or both I guess.
I know that regardless of even having the same platform, there are times when one group of peoples manuerisms just don't jive with another groups and many of us will float in between not knowing the difference or at the very least, wondering why there are multiple sites with the same subject. Seems like you'd just go to the source instead of maybe niching something away at one site where the rest of the world may not get to.
Anyways, if you can or desire to drop me a pm and tell me what your difficulties were I'd like to see if it's something we can change or explain to make it not a problem. I'd have just sent a pm to you but as you said the site was troublesome here I thought maybe you weren't alone and others could chime in.

Regarding waiting for part two... its quite obvious the guy has part two made, since he flew the plane. Why he won't post it is beyound me.
Anyhoo.... Not wanting to wait, I designed a biplane simular to his, using 4mm coroplast. Just waiting for my Cox engine stuff to arrive.
