RE: RC Ultralight?
It was a Cox product called the Sky Rally. Seems to be a real collector's piece now and fetches top dollar new-in-box. I always thought it looked neat as well but have heard that it barely flew with it's .049 power.

ORIGINAL: Mr Cox
It's a shame to electrify it, a Norvel .074 or a PAW would do great.

When I was a kid, I really wanted that one. My friend had it, and I had the Cessna 182 Skylane. I flew the snot out of that Skylane, but the Ultralight never really did fly all that well. Twenty plus years later, looking back... I would have to agree. The old Cox/Sanwa radio gear, and servo's that it did come with was pretty much the micro gear of the time. The QRC .049 for a couple of middle school kids was about as much as we could have handled for the money. Given a Norvel .049 0.61 even would have been a nice step up.
I would love to find one now. I still have a "Spare" Skylane that I picked up back then trying to trade it to my buddy for his Ultralight.
I did see an even older Cox R/C powered hang glider over on feebay...almost tempted
I love the old Cox stuff, the electric foam they are putting out now, just does not do it for me.
