Looks like some thing Estes had up it's sleeve when Tower bought them out.
Not your Gran Daddies Oldsmobile ( Cox). Doesn't make noise but a TD .020 might fit. I'd like to see the control components or brick.

The fact that it comes RTF with everything included out of the box and with a 2.4GHz transmitter no less will definitely make this quite appealing to anyone .............
I suppose the old adage "never say never" still holds true.

Those 2 cox planes are old news. Its a shame they put the cox name on planes that are so toyish and just like all the other planes on the market in that class. fools

Nothing new for Cox, really. They have been creating or putting their name on cr@p for years. Look at the push button radios they came out with 20 years ago. Pretty much guaranteed to fail for a beginner and yet that is how they marketed them. Some of the planes they made and sold were so heavy out of the box that the 049s they had for power couldn't lift them off the ground.
Cox HAS been good at making engines. But their business decisions on other things has been less than stellar. Just my $.02 and worth less than that

And if it came FM thats how ide get it. But unfortunately Mr.RCU stalker, its only in cell phone tech. So if i fly it. I"ll be sure to have my cell phone turned off. (Hate for my plane for hit the ground cuz of a missed call) I meant just the radio system, not something that i dont have a choice.

I'm not a hater of Cox, by any means. I grew up flying their engines and still fly them today. I think they made great engines. I just think that a multitude of bad choices over the years in product design and marketing ( I think of the cox drag racer of the late 70s or helicopter of the same vintage with a fuel tank external to the motor made of a plastic that was not fuel proof - the fuel line nipple broke off within a month of running the engine) has led them to alienate the customers that could of and would have continued to support them.

TK, once again even if it did use cell phone technology the frequencies within the 2.4Ghzband would be different and your cell phone will not affect your model and neither would your model affect your cell phone. There's a HUGE about of spectrum included when you just say "2.4Ghz".
I don't know where you got the idea that the new 2.4 gear is sharing frequencies with the cell phone stuff or where you thought that the frequency selection and hopping of the 2.4G radios is specific to cell phones. But wherever it came from your fears of interfering with the plane in flight or your set interfering with cell phones is unfounded and just not accurate.

exocet -
I don't think TK's shot was meant for you, but probably for me due to my comments in Post #5. I never really considered myself either a hater or stalker and likely should have been a little less tongue-in-cheek - perhaps the smiley was mis-interpreted. In any event, I suppose it was baiting, but I probably was feeling a bit ornery at the time. Me thinks I should just sit back and try a little of Mr. Beam's medication.

Yeah, Andrew, I thought the same thing AFTER I posted it. I think I need to chat with Mr. Walker or Mr. Glenlivet, myself.
Oh well, if we can't take jokes...

RE: Holly schnickies!!
To be honest i was being a smart***** about my cell phone. im aware that they are diferent frequencies and that i dont have to worry about interference. its just for my applications its unnecessary to spend so much on 2.4 when u can get a tried and true fm for less. i dont fly around alot of other planes so i dont have to worry about interference. however i will say being able to fly liike 10 dif. planes from one transmitter by changing settings on a screen is awesome. but im technologically retarded so its gotta be user friendly. and for this plane. ive always enjoyed the type of flying and style of the extra planes but im a novice and destroying a model isnt something i wanna do. i could learn on this and then get the Airfoilz Extra 260 ive been literaly drooling over!
