Bob,
Sounds like you have a full stable of the little birds. Cool.
I know this got started to bring some of us little airplane flyers together but you needn't limit it to 1/2As. I supported the .30-and below argument when Randolph and others were setting up the Smallnet.
I have the Littlest Stick (which have really been through the wars - and looks it).
My current favorite fly-for-fun is a Speedy Bee.
I am also trying to get a .010-powered PBF in the air.
I also carry a Wonder with a .18 MDS in it. this one stays in the trunk of the car because I can carry it along with anything else and serves as backup in case my 'primary' mount of the day becomes unworthy of flight.
I have some combat stuff that is pulled by .15s and .20s. (by the way if anyone wants to play some combat - left me know and I'l make sure we have ribbons, etc. at the ready).
I just stuck my head in my playroom (that's what my wife calls my toy airplane factiry site) and realized that I do not have a true 1/2A model on the wall. I will have to rectify this abomination.
I just hope the drought is over by Sunday

How About Some Old Stuff
I got my Dad coming up from Charlotte. He's packing various 1/2A stuff with vintage radios. He is the on who got me started with the early RC stuff. We can all see how it was in the early days when single channel was the current and latest thing available. Any of you guys ever see the old stuff fly?

Raymond, there should be enough Littlest Sticks/Wee Sticks to start a squadron!!!

Because it rained all morning here and I just couldn't see starting to paint my porch when the wood was wet, I spent five hours putting together a .010 PBF -kinda.
I looked at a couple of 1/2A kits; :sunsmiley Wizard, SST, Ace Pacer. The SST came close, but I really want to see what a 9x9 flat plate model will do. I will wait til the sealer coat of polyurethane dries before I weigh it but bouncing it on one hand and my Littlest on the other - they feel about the same. The Littlest is 4 1/2 ounces RTF.
Tim, You are welcome to watch but remember you don't have to fly a little plane. We cater to all forms of model aircraft afflictions.

Bob,
You know I was thinking the same thing myself! Surely we can come up with some sort or reason to give out an award right. I thought I could whip up a special little Cox as the prize. What do you all think?
Later,
Tim

We have flown CL there, but on Sunday I'm afraid there is too much normal traffic to shut down the runway for one flight.
Come to think of it, if I gave the impression that Sunday would be dedicated to just visitors, I need to make sure you know that it was not my intention to keep anyone from flying any AMA-legal model. I never thought anything about non-R/C activity.
Again, I apologize if I led anyone astray.

Well, I was gonna try to come but I'm afraid I won't be able to make it. We are celebrating my brother's b-day that day. Plus, I had a "mishap" with the plane I was gonna bring and don't have time between now and then to get another ready. It really sucks too cause I was dying to see some of the .010 stuff fly. I am dying to get one of those Wee Sticks! BobHH, you gotta come to my field sometime and do a demo.
Thanks anyway for the invitation, Ray!

Brian,
I am sorry that you can't make it - this time. You, and anyone else are always welcome at the JCAC field.
I haven't seen Bob's airplanes in the air, but on the ground they are certainly impressive. He is an excellent builder. So you have a treat in store for you whenever you do get to see them. Something to look forward to.
I checked with some of my clubmates at the field today and there will be some electrics there too. Again, something for everyone.

Flyinrog,
The original invitation was for Sunday afternoon and we'd start cooking the burgers around 1:00.
However, if you want to come early that's fine too. I will probably get there around 10-ish to set up the grill and make sure everythings OK.

no John, originally prole, (Tim) and I were gonna meet in durham and he invited Brian, and then it was moved to Johnson county, and thats 100 miles from here, and everybody is from around Raleigh, which kinda threw me off, since as I said Tim and I had planned on meeting in Durham (30 miles) on a sat, morning because of my schedule, so when we can do that, I would stay up to make that,,
but thanks for the offer!!
