A simple solution for Cox fuel
Here is a link to a spreadsheet (takes a moment to load) that will permit you to calculate the amount of castor oil to add to fuel that does not have any or not enough of such. The spreadsheet is in Excel 2003 format.
The idea is that if you have difficulty obtaining pre-mixed Cox fuel, you can simply buy high nitro / low oil car racing fuel and blend in some castor oil.
This spreadsheet was written for us by Andrew Batts and we are hosting it on our websites with his kind permission. Thank you Andrew!

The first link above has an error. When you click on it it puts a URL in the browser that is missing the '.ca' even though the displayed text is correct.
If Bernie can edit the URL, others will be able to use it.

RE: A simple solution for Cox fuel
For some reason this site will not let me insert the link, perhaps because it's an executable.
Try this link:
http://coxengines.ca/pages.php?pageid=5
Scroll down to "Cannot find fuel with castor oil?" and click on the link there.
Yes, Glowplugboy is recommended in our fuel guide. The calculator is for those outside of the USA and for those in the USA that want to mix their own fuel.

RE: A simple solution for Cox fuel
Thanks for your kind words, Bernie!
To all our users of "Rocket 24" 1/2 A fuel, our 100% all castor lube is Klotz "Benol" racing castor, which is superior to AAA in that it is a blend fortified castor oils and has Klotz's "racy" smell added, so it won't smell like normal castor oil when you run your engine... it is also pink in color.
FYI, Bernie, as per our phone conversation a month or so ago.... I inquired and cannot find a cost effective way to ship our fuel to you folks in Canada. Sorry![&o]

Just did a quick search over at Tower, and see they carry Hobbico 1/2A fuel. It features a "special Klotz blend". I wonder if it's all Klotz?
On a side note, sounds like carrying the Sig fuel might be a profitable addition to your catalog, Cox Int!

RE: A simple solution for Cox fuel
Mike,
Thanks for trying. However, with the little calculator that we have posted and racing fuel being readily available, I think we have a good solution now.
Digital,
Shipping one quart of fuel within Canada costs about $40 and to the USA about $60. So, definitely not an option for us to stock fuel. In the USA one can ship fuel at modest cost. In Canada we have different laws.
