Default 1/2A Depron Biplane

This looks like it wouldbe a great plane for the .049 engine . It has a wingspan of 83.5 cm (about 31 inches) . The French translation to English is a little off . ..... D.J.

I can't seem to get a direct link . You will have to go to the plans section, then go to the Stampe plans .

There seems to be two schools of thought on this . One group says that Depron is fuel-proof and the other group says that you have to protect the depron with a sealer then paint it any colour you want . .... D.J.

I have couple depron models powered by IC engines. All are covered completely with doculam, painted on the inside with rattle can paint, overlapping 1/8" to 1/4" and never encounter a problem with the fuel or exost. One of them have more than 50 flights so far and is in great shape. Don't have any leakage or any problems at all. Weight increase is completely compensated IMHO by gain of strength that this covering add to the airframe. For some reason i cant upload pics, but when is possible i will.
