Default Silver case Tee Dee.

Bought a Tee Dee with a silver case. It appears to be aluminum instead of plastic. I thought they were all either red or black. The color is the size is this something other than an .049 or .051?

If you're talking about the venturi mount, it may be one of the aluminum aftermarket products. If the engine is an .051, it should have a ring around the piston near the skirt.

No the part of the case under the venturi, it is normally black or red.

Here is the pic from the site I bought it from. It actually looks better than the pic.

The CNC machined aftermarket metal replacement carb bodies are available from a couple of sources in 010 (red and black), 020 (red), 049(black and natural),051 (red and natural), 09 (black) and 15 (black) sizes. The 'silver' ones are simply natural aluminium. As indicated by proptop-'ridenfligh' is the main Ebay source. He lists these periodically-not on a regular basis. There seem to be two versions-a direct replacement for the original plastic units-and a slightly improved (and more expensive) version, with a teflon gasket and O-ring seal. Certainly useful for the 15 sized engines as any original plastic ones are well and truly gone-but twice the price of the plastic units for the smaller sizes of Tee Dees

ORIGINAL: Sport_Pilot

That is the mount, located below the venturi and needle valve body. It appears to be one of the aftermarket products - if aluminum, actually better than the original since it won't crack or deteriorate over time.
