Wow! Wish I'd known back in January(!) when I saw the auction for the Rx, that they weren't on the up-and-up. Glad you were able to recover some of the shipment though.

You did nothing wrong whatsoever and I am going by the premise that neither did the seller.
The way Estes operated in general and packed their merchandise I am surprised that not more items fell out of pallets - that how bad it was. Some boxes burst open and less that 10% was left inside, items like all the parts to make almost 15,000x 020 glow heads
Oh, did I mention, whenI bought all their inventory,I bought 20,000x Cox .09 glow heads (50% high compression), 10,000x 09 spinners, 20,000 Killer Bee thrust washers, 2,000 Queen Bee Glow plugs, 30,000 feet of OEM fuel line, 1,000 starter springs, ,etc, and, when they went to ship, they could not find them? Turns out they had either just scrapped or could not locatethem.
And a grown man is not supposed to cry
Then there were the50 Puddle Runners that went missing in transit, together with 1/2 pallet of 40-60 size RTF airplane kits and over 3,000 warbird props. And, yeah, the receivers.
When I think of the 9,000 Surestart engines they could no longer find after I bought them ..... this is becoming way too depressing lol.

Tubebass,
Could you please confirm that these RX use a 7.2v battery instead of the usual 4.8v one?
Thanks

That is correct, they run on 7.2 volts. However, if you want to use one in a glow powered airplane, it should be possible to power it from 4.8 by making up a "Y" harness and inserting the 4.8 volts through one of the servo connectors.

No, we did not get reimbursed as Estes said "your problem" and the freight company said that we would have had to note this while the trucker was still on our premines. It took me all weekend to unload and inventory the pallets, so that was not an option either.
However, no worries and I'm happy that we can now offer TX/RX sets for something like $29.95 to $39.95 depending on the configuration.

It's all good.
The last batch of items (all the electric fly stuff) we bought for pennies on the $$ and we took the good with the bad. The majority we re-sold shortly thereafter to a competitor at (modest) profit and, in the end, we are way ahead and a 1/2 pallet of lost merchandise was no big deal. Most of it was RTF foamies and parts, electric propellers and Puddle Runner stuff - a tough sell at the best of times. The RX were what hurt because we had a whole pallet of TX with no matching RX.
