Greetings Fainjon,
Are you referring to the 1/12th scale mustang by HOB with 36 in wingspan?
If you are, a norvel 15 is WAY too much engine. the plane will not withstand that much power.
I have built and flew the HOB p-47 (36" WS) with a norvel 074. Works great and has lots of power and speed. very nice design with that engine. Good luck with this kit. If you build it, let us know what you decided power-plant wise, and how the building goes.

I have owned several H.O.B. 36" P-51s. I used an OS .10 FSR and raced pylon with it...great fun. The OS.10 just barely fit (width wise) with the engine mounting lugs just squeezing into the engine compartment. The Norvel .15 is physically too large to fit. An OS .15 could be made to fit and is the largest power plant to use. You will have to replace the balsa wing spars with hardwood and replace the 3/32 horizontal stab with 1/8" balsa.
The overall strength of the plane can handle the additional power. H.O.B. is selling
te kit for use in 1/12th scale combat, which uses .15 size engines. The plane is very fun to fly and wind doesn't affect it much.
Good Luck,
