In 2013 I resolve to.........
1. Build a 1/2A Shrike..for .061 power
2. Build either a Mach None or a Pacer for .10 power
3. Learn how to rebush AP .061s and return about 6 of them to active duty.
4. Build a 1/2A Proto type C/L plane and give that a "spin". I've never tried 1/2A C/L Speed.
Merry Xmas to all and have smooth sailing in 2013.

Those all sound very well within your grasp. It's been really cool to see how you have latched onto pylon racing and how tremendous those Speed Rallies of your's have turned out.
Too bad you can't do this stuff full time like us retired folk can...huh..?
Merry Xmas Fizzwater..! What are you trying to finish..? fizzwater2...are you fizzwater1's son..?

RE: In 2013 I resolve to.........
Those are some cool resolutions guys! CP, I'm especially interested in the 1/2a Shrike...I've often wished those kits were around still..., that and shrikes weren't a pain to cover.
I think my resolutions are:
1. Finish off some more of these 90% done planes so I can "cleanly" start a few new builds/ burn some more fuel on the ones I've recently finished
2. Learn to get out and fly more in the winter and not let the cold keep me from having fun.
3. Finish tiling the bathroom...,
Hey, 2 out of 3 aint bad[8D]? Todd

Merry Xmas Todd..!
Do what you can. Those 90% projects still need 90% more work to really get done...so just blast your way through them with a solid, visual goal in mind. Prioritizing and budgeting time has always been a weakness of mine...for others it's second nature.
Tile work....just think of all the money you are saving instead of hiring a 8th grade drop out to come to your house to show you how easy it is. I worked along side several "tile guys" while working construction and all I can say is thank the lord that such simple work exists for those who aren't afraid of working up a sweat so that they can feed their families with an honest days worth of work.
If a cop ever showed up at a job site it was usually the tile guys and the laborers who dropped their tools and ran.......

1. Go to S.M.A.L.L.
2. Bring 10 planes to #1
3. Build 6 of the 10 planes referenced in #2.
...Oh, and try to be kind, thoughtful and caring to everyone, even those I may disagree with or those I think don't really deserve it.

In 2013 I resolve to....
1. Finish and fly a new TD .020-powered sportplane.
2. Burn lots of 1/2A fuel, a task which is getting harder as my small electric and larger glow models compete for time on the flightline.
3. Attend SMALL in June if I can beg, plead, or barter the time off work.
4. Finish and fly my dormant P-51 project.
5. Finish gathering all the gear and making the mods needed for my my 2014 motorcycle trip to Alaska.

RE: In 2013 I resolve to.........
Dear Sirs;
Thank you for the impetus to ponder the direction of my attention looking forward to the subject twelve month period.
My life has been carefully mapped out and structured since the day I entered High School just after my tenth birthday (I walked in, looked around and decided right then and there that I'd come back some day). So it should be no surprise to youse that the answer to the question was right here on my fingertips when I saw the initial post.
Naturally I will continue to produce miniature aircraft of superior design, construction, and performance - many of which will have one or more small TD's or diesel engine attached.
I also pledge to preserve more of my valuable 'personal' time by wasting less of it sitting in front of this blasted laptop. While I do have pleasant thoughts about the hours I have spent "conversing" with various users of this space - I also feel that I a have an obligation to those who will come after me (and will no doubt study my body of work) to continue to devote my life to the betterment of mankind by making the best use of my time. Hence the brevity of my response.

Vicman, typical adventure bike stuff: bash plates, guards, spares, tools, heated grips and clothing, power outlets, comfier seat, and such. Planning to attempt the Dalton Hwy up to Prudhoe Bay, from the TX coast!
