Dave, I've got an unused but new TT .07 that I'm putting into my repaired Q-Tee. Good to know that it is a great engine to spruce up these once underpowered 1/2-A's. I wanted something with a little more umph than the Black Widow it replaces. Been dragging my feet a little but hope to complete repairs and fly it before the month's out.

Yes George you have been dragging your feet on that. I scratch built mine and have been flying it all summer! Mine flys great on the medallion but I built it light. You will be at 1/2 throttle most of the time with the TT. Another motor that gets overlooked is the medallion 09 with a throttle sleeve. It's just as light or lighter and can be found cheap online.

Cool

hllywdb, yes, I have dragging my feet a little. All I need to do is compete the covering on the fuselage nose and turtle-deck, complete fuel tank installation, reinstall the gear and a new throttle servo, We have usually calmer wind weather (if there is such a thing, LOL here in the High Plains) in Aug and Sep, then the winds pick up, limiting flight to warbirds and larger planes.

Hi,
VUgearhed used Sullivan 1 oz fuel tank, I never used Sullivan 1 oz tank on any of my plane unless for bench test. It weights 1.2 oz.

I used medicine bottle from local drugstore, capacity is around 1.5 oz, and total weight included clunk , fuel line etc just merely 0.38 oz.
Fuji film can also one of my favorite light weight tank too, its capacity around 1 oz and empty tank weights 0.28 oz.
If you are not going to DIY your light weight fuel tank , try search for round fuel tank from Coxengines.ca, it weights 0.6 oz.

just my 2 cents worth ;-)
