'tis the Season to be Building
The gutters have been cleaned, the wood stacked, tomato patch cleared, weather coming down from AK, time to light the wood stove in the w/shop and build a small airplane.
Not sure I like the way the pictures interfere with the text.
New site is still a Dog and Pony Show at the Bazzarr

Skaliwag, you were a busy dude yesterday..! You must enjoy the occasional Artic Blasts. It got down to 10 last night. I've never seen it that low around here. The skies were as clear and the stars bright as ever.
I just got delivery of a little ZALP .15 today, so that will be something to start drawing pictures of airplanes to build around it. It's so cold right now that drawing pictures next to a wood stove is the plan for this evening.

I'm takeing advantage of the nasty weather we are getting around here. I started this over Thanksgiveing, and got it covered today with silkspan. Its a Royal Coachman i'm scratch building. Few more bad weather days like this and i'll get it finished!...Gene

You and Skaliwag are putting us to shame.
I think Skaliwag is keeping us in suspense about his creation, but the Royal Coachman is a Don Dewey blast from the past -- came out in the mid-sixties, IIRC.
It's unfortunate that RCM Plans is, well, I'm not sure what they're doing, but apparently they're taking money and not shipping any plans to the buyers. They have a great depository of plans --- it's too bad the plans are no longer available.

Andrew... I was beginning to wonder who was to be the one curious about this creation.
049flyer's Pole Dancer nudged me into finishing a design I started while I had the flu a couple of months ago that is based on the 1/2A SST.
I pulled my SST down from the attic for someone who was looking for one. There is a lot of extra wood in that box for a TD049 to haul around so I put the basic concept on a Jenny Craig.. I want to get a little further then will offer the few Beta kits I have for grabs at a good price to get a build thread from an independent
source.

Being originally from the north east I do sometimes miss the cold winter season for building stuff. Seems like I got more planes and bikes built. Was nice around the fire or wood stove in the shop. I tried this weekend. Got a few flights in on Saturday morning then started rebuilding the softail transmission for the chopper seeing that the chome will be back in a couple of weeks. Even with the cold snap (it was 82 here today) we only made it to noon before we just went out riding instead. Even when a rain storm comes in it only lasts 20 minutes. I am probably going to have to get a cabin some place where it snows just so I can get some of these projects finished.

Hllywdb, I talked it over with the upper management, and she is willing to swap houses for the month of February. You can work on your planes there. (You have to watch the Gestapo at the border though)There is a little Taig lathe to play with too. It will save me from renting the dive in Kissimmee.

Aspeed that's waaaaaay too far north and cold for us. Although the mrs spent 20 years in Alaska. So she knows what the great white wasteland is like in February. Don't think she will fall for it. But give me a shout if you do come down for February and start to have flying withdrawals. Got a huge field across the street and a nice club 15 minutes away.

20 years in Alaska. I guess she didn't get off for good behavior. I think we will skip Florida this year. I could very easily change my mind. I went the last two years. It is pretty good compared to here. Perry Ga. is a good swap meet for the way home.
