Default Happy Holidays

Christmas 1971
It was the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
I anxiously waited for that day to get here,
to get that Cox airplane in air oh so clear.
To get that dizzy feeling that I really crave,
to fly it around, oh how I would be so brave.
To it fly around near the speed of light,
How it would make me smile, with such great delight.
That smell of nitro would cling in the air,
all over my hands and all over my hair.
Then out the window I heard such a clatter,
I dropped my remote to see what was the matter.
It was that fat man from up north of Washington state,
Would he have goodies for me? That would really be great!
I screamed with delight, as I shouted with glee,
a brand new Cox airplane, all just for me.
Now I'm so happy, and ready for flight.
to all a good Christmas, and all a good night.

Wishing all a safe and wonderful holiday season.
Joe

Very nice post Joe.
Did you ever hang out at Queen Anne Hobbies...?
That place was my Heaven on Earth. What a fantastic group of guys in that place.

Yuletide Blessings to all, and a fantastic new year. May the coming months bring health and happiness, and maybe if we're good a little extra for us to be able to pursue the things we enjoy.

Looking back on the year, 2013 was one of the best ever for me. I became a homeowner for the first time at age 41, have a wonderful woman to share it with, a stable job at a nice place to work, and all my friends have their heads above water. I flew a lot this year, 1/2A a lot more than electric-a change I find I like, but I'm getting the DLG bug again so stick time will get thin all around again. My plan was to finish the CAD on a 1/2A twin I have had mostly done for a few years this Christmas vacation but I will have to work a few days of it and am struggling with an upgrade and setup to AutoCad 2014. I know, First World Problems and all.

My problems are not problems, my Needs are Wants, Life is good.

Happy holidays to all, whichever ones you choose to celebrate, the meaning is the same. It's about people and family. I've had a great year myself, even though it's still "recession earnings". But when I look back at years the best ones were never the highest earning, seems those never had enough time for fun or memories. I've had enough time this year to turn some ideas into drawings, then sawdust, then sometimes even flyable Also had time to do lots of welding and grinding on bigger noisier projects as well. Best wishes to all and hopes that 2014 is even better.
