    I've Been Flying 1/2A Again!

Went to the club field the last 2 days in a row. The 1st clip is the Select Hobbies Scalpel which was built from a "beta" kit a couple of years ago and featured on a build thread here. It's still powered by the rear drum rotary intake .049. The 2nd clip features my recently-aquired Slow Poke which is a bit large for this forum but may appeal to some here since it's still pretty small. It has a Saito .30 4-stroke. I recently purchased this bird with the engine and servos for $50! Added a receiver and battery and am now enjoying some old-fashioned 3 channel fun with it. Supposedly, the previous owner hadn't flown it in at least 8 years and could never line it out. I added some noseweight and it became a teddy bear. This was a very rare afternoon on the TX coast with virtually no wind. We made the most of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6bs...?v=7v4hE_tColw

I went also. We had a nice day in SC. I flew the Selextra after having changed the engine and fuel tank. I finally got a five minute flight after several tries, but not at the performance level I was expecting. I suspect my fuel may have gone bad, so I'll order up some new and give her another try.

You know how it is, Dave. That magic needle setting is always elusive when the camera rolls.
