SMALL has always been about SMALL models, without any preference as to power. Years ago, 1/2A was one of the most common ways to power small models. No so any more. However, the preference for power source is not as open minded in this particular forum....

I would like to see more 1/2A models at SMALL, but not at the expense of trashing electric power or even electric ARFs. I think Randy Randolph would enjoy the fact that SMALL is still up and running and is a showcase for small model innovation, regardless of power source and the fact there are lots of electric ARFs present.

I went to two of the Small Steps in Seagoville TX when Randy Randolph ran them and it was a blast. I wish they still had them there. They were late in the summer. The event in June is hard for me to make because thats the peak of my work season. I am an insurance adjuster and the storms start at the end of march and always go through July before I start to slow up.

I work like crazy for 5-6 months then have most of the rest of the year off. But June is a busy time. I wish I could talk my club (Ft Worth Thunderbirds) into hosting a Small event.

At this point, it's questionable whether there will be a SMALL 2015. I hope so. It's been the high point in my model airplane flying for 25 years !

Not a question ! There will be a SMALL 2015, and not in Texas, unless Tom B and Richard find the time to do one. It was usually in September in Texas. More work is involved than some may imagine. What keeps it going is word of mouth and the twisting of arms. Eleven months till SMALL.

Thats good to know. Maybe I can see if I can adjust my schedule and make it next year. SMALL is the only event I have ever participated in. It would be fun to do it again.

'14 was GREAT! One of the best! I'm pumped & working on stuff for next year. Got an electric Skiniwag flying. George gave me a GREAT quadcopter which I intend to have set up with a camera for next year.
I'm on a C/L thing & on a Bislob tangent. Thinking a SMALL version wold be cool......
We do a small version of SMALL at George's place on the river (Mammoth Spring AR) in the fall & looking forward to more insanity there.
