SMALL is the most fun a flyer of small-engined models could possibly have. The models are amazing, the flying is mesmerizing, and the attendees, well, they are characters. Some of my favorite modeling memories are from our trips there. If you haven't been, you owe it to yourself to go. Many folks travel long distances to participate in the shenanigans. I have met lots of new friends there and laughed until my sides hurt at times. With that said, I'm gonna miss it again this year.
I fully intend to get my priorities in order and get back to Little Rock in 2015 with a squadron of Cox-powered flyers.
Some observations I've made at previous events:
An AMA card is required but deodorant is not.
If you crash into someone's parked plane, he might return the favor later.
Beware the Drunk Pilot Edition Cox Huey Helicopter!
Electric fences aren't as effective on modelers as livestock.
Rules are made to be broken.
