Mr. Cox. I think you would have to contact him for a price. I tried to find a price too. I would guess a fair bit over $100, as they are pretty low volume, and high performance like the Fora and similar. I think he is from Spain or somewhere like that.

Yea I looked at the wrong for sale page they go for 2.99 a bag of 10 plus 1.99 shipping to TX so 5 bucks.
Some how I clicked on the one selling in bulk of 7 bags .

After receiving them I think they will make good use with 1/2A fuel line, the barb is able to grip it.
The hole is big enough to add positive pressure to the fuel tank from the muffler or pipe.
Perfect for NV should you break a plastic nipple or fabricating your own NV assembly.
Should make a good crank case pressure taps for .10 size and bigger engines or perhaps a very
thirsty 1/2A size engine.

Tonight I set up the aluminum landing gear to get a good fit I used a 10-32 tap or M4.8x.79 for use with M5x.08 pitch nylon bolts the tap conversion to metric is close in favor of keeping the wood threads strong and compressed as once the M5 bolt is ran thru the wood gets compacted a hair bit. For extra measure I wick in some thin CA to oil proof and strengthen the crucial thread count in the selected 3/16th plywood. In the process I have a hatch now for the 2oz round tank.

I am supposed to buy an aluminum dock, and a Honda pilot. I have Google chrome too. The RC Canada website has even more ads. Sometimes it is ok, as they are for Hobby King and it refreshes my memory. I was not looking at the Honda, but was looking at the dock about a month ago.

Same here. Does the banner ads setting in your account have anything to do with this? I don't even know what a banner ad is..

At first I thought it was just me getting adware hacked is why I had to ask.

I bought some 30 min slow cure epoxy to protect the ply and for a stronger wood skin.
I had to apply in 3 stages as it was setting up very fast in the mixing cups but slower on the plane. After reading the fine print it stated mixing larger quantities would create a faster rate.

I still lack a tad bit in the tail section so 4 stages all together. I normally use Z-poxy finishing resin which cures slower in the mix cup for ease of application. I used a plastic card to apply using the scraping method to avoid loose bristles from a applicator brush laying in the finish. Once fully cured in 24hrs I may fine sand and then need to spray with a Top Flite LustreKoat fuel proof clear to regain gloss finish. Will have to spray inside the fuel cell bay and radio bay. All this to avoid oil migration into the wood grains.

The progress looks great..!
This web site is infested with "info links". It locks my screen until it slowly materializes. I've cancelled several chat sessions here recently because of the slow downs. I make it a point to boycott intrusive, imposing, invasive tactics such as this. The ads on the right of the screen shrink our message traffic down to 1 inch wide lines text.
I think RCU will see diminishing returns...at least I hope so.

I went to the settings for Google ads.. oh boy you do get a choice. You get a choice of targeted ads or non targeted ads. No ads is not an option. Well, it is, but it involves pulling the rip cord at a certain level of annoyance and hanging out somewhere else.

Yea it bites but better than nada, we are lucky to have the site and will suck it up in hopes for their continued success / survival.

Messing with the car engines was fun but did stop the build, its good to get back to business with getting the Skorch II design finished. I have gathered up all the gear / hardware needed should have everything on hand to finish this one out.

14.73 oz thus far.
All radio gear / batts / push rods, 2oz fuel tank, pluming, bare wing, .07 engine / pipe

- Less tail feathers and monokote for the flying surfaces and stinger mount.

Dry weight with the .07 should be around 17oz as a 3 channel set up.

Per APC power chart current options tested:
4.75x4 / 24k static / 91 mph / 20.2oz thrust
5x3 / 24.7k static / 70 mph / 24.8 oz

Pluming w/ tank in place need to start installing the RC gear next.
The crack mistake in the back is going to be hidden once I determine
the tail feather color scheme that will extend out over that area and sealed
with some clear lustrekote. Tempted to do a V tail since there is no rudder servo.

That photo makes it look like the RC proportional equivalent of a L'il Wizard with a .15 on front.

Horizontal stab and elevator cut out to shape has an extended area up front for better footing to the fuselage and more area for the vertical stab to stay glued to. Still not sure if I will sweep back all the tips. At 36" span it should be a floater on landings and turn on a dime so may sweep the tips to get a bit more top end speed.

The nose looks very long to me, does it really balance like that?

On my sheet wing racer the battery had to be placed behind the wing for balance. I think the best option nowadays, with the lightweight radio gear, is to actually have the tank overlapping with the wing (either above or below, depending on the wing position).

Here is my sheet wing racer for comparison;

Here you go for comparison
What is your wing span so I can do the final size just a rough visual reference
based on the engine sizes at the moment.

My fuel tank is back further so there is less change in CG as the tank runs out the 2oz round splits the landing gear.
I will also have on board a 40.6g Data Logger / GPS Speed Meter.

not to scale

A better long nose comparison based on the Norvel engines:

Proven 100mph + 1/2A Skorch / 5ch piped AME Norvel .061
I matched the carb diameters and placed level across at the tip of the spinners.
I use Cox spinners / rubber bands to hold down the wing it was shifted some in photo.

The wingspan is about 22.5", and I'm hoping for a total weight below 10oz.

PS. Sorry for the late reply, I have a problem with logging in, can't post anything, and also have lots of additional ads, so I'm not sure I will stay on this site much longer...

Yes we all now see the additional ads. They do maintenance at night which causes log on issues at times.
Most of the time I will simply go into a thread and it logs me on sometimes it takes a few tries. I have gotten use
to it. There is less change if you open the page fully it shoves the side ads out further out and gives a more
traditional view of what I was use to before. I'm glad I still have a 1/2A forum I can enjoy.

I hope you get yours flying soon and capture it on video to share with everyone.
The original Skorch is 29.5 inches about 75 cm and weighs in at 12.8oz in it's current configuration.
If reduced to a 3ch with no pipe and header it would be about 47g less making it 11.15oz for reference.

And now drum roll here is the actual scale comparison based on wing span.
Is your's a .049 or the .061(if I recall you had mentioned .061)

36in ................ ..22.5in

On the 1/2A Skorch I used a ply footing under the vertical stab but no ply plate on the horizontal stab.
I had a few hard tumbles that ripped balsa chucks out of horizontal stab. So this time I have ply footing
on both stabs and 1/8th inch square stock to support the vertical stab. Should shear the glue joint
between the two ply footings making it a quick field fix if it does do some tumbling.

Additionally the horizontal stab has a footing on the underside to match up to the rear fuselage tail footing.
Since this one will be pushing over 120 mph the extra effort should help. Do to the speed and
size of the Skorch II neon monokote is being used Pink, Yellow and Blue for good visibility.

The scheme so far the colors really pop with any amount of light cast
on the surfaces in sunlight these colors will glow against the sky.
I have used Pink and Yellow numerous times but never blue
