I am probably the world's worst with posting Pics !
I have cameras film and digital 1000s images from 40+ years of photography and have maybe 10 posted.

May I suggest that a file might be a better tool to get a more linear taper then polish up with very fine sand paper and crocus cloth till you get a mirror finish.
I have used a drill or drill press in this way many times, just not on a NV YET.

It's an old free flight design called HEXY. The spinner is a stock plastic unit with the fuselage designed to fit the size of the spinner. Rudder and elevator control keep it somewhat flyable. Glides like a brick, a light brick.
