Small 2015
Haven't seen any teasers yet. I missed the last 2 years and was hoping to make a trek back to Arkansas to rejoin the madness this year. Sooo, is it a go? Little Rock? DaleflysRC? Bueller? Anyone?

Steve will be asking Richard N to start a SMALL 2015 thread on RC Groups.....we have 5 1/2 months, let make this year's event one for the history books!
All the best,
Tony

That's good news. Thanks, Tony! Due to a switch in vehicles, I may have to limit the number of models I take to the event but my activities will still be Cox-centric.

subscribed - Tee Bee your videos are excellent. They're well done and your choice of planes is excellent. You prompted me to contact Steve at Select Hobbies about that Scalpel - I owe him a call. He was kind enough to get right back to me.
Won't probably be able to attend SMALL but will follow the thread here and on RCG if one pops up over there.
Right now, have a build thread on RCG about a not-too followed Ken WIllard design - the Duranita. Gull wing biplane, no struts, originally a FF, converting to to 4 ch RC. Plans courtesy of our friend Steve at Outerzone. Doing it at 115%, still deciding what engine will go in it.
Cheers - Poughkeepsie Pete
(Not to be confused with Poughkeepsie, Arkansas, which i would love to someday hear the history of how that town (well, crossroads) got its name...)

Anybody know what the record is for the most 1/2A powered models in the air at one time? Maybe we can shoot for a record this year?

1/2A at AMA Expo 2015
Here's some photos of the Cox engines present at AMA Expo 2015. Many more were for sale in the Swap Shop.
By the way, I spoke with Jay Smith of Model Aviation Magazine about covering SMALL 2015. He was receptive, gave me his business card and asked me to contact him. Fingers crossed for a feature article this summer.
Best,
Tony

Duly noted, Steve. Looking forward to it! Now I just need to find the time to crank out a new plane before June. That's something I haven't done in a while.

Gettin' there, Steve. I rode my motorcycle to Alaska last summer but I managed to visit with SMALLer, Mike Hopper(stone 1295), when I stopped in Anchorage. I think he's planning to attend again this year.

We got ours booked today also at the Airport Days Inn. I talked to Hollis Fenn this afternoon and he's going to make it again this year and he's coming from South Carolina. Quite a trip. I heard From Pat Trittle the other day and he's planning on being there. Who else is going to make it?

My daughter and I will be there. Our flight arrives Tuesday, 2 Jun and we're staying at the Airport Days Inn.
Looking forward to meeting and flying with everyone during our five days at SMALL.

I plan to be there with my boys again... of course depending on the boys end of grade testing schedule (EOG's).
Been working on airplanes together in the workshop.
Tony - look forward to meeting you this year. You have a neat little 1/2A squadron.
Troy - Looking forward to catching up with you as well.

Thanks Brian! My daughter and I are looking forward to meeting you and the boys as well. We are counting down already and can't wait to spend a week with the SMALL family. Our flight lands at 2:20pm on Tuesday and if it's on-time and all goes well, we hope to get to the field by 4:00pm.
All the best,
Tony

I am shooting for driving out on Wednesday, but it all depends on boys school schedule.
Working on a Flyline J3 enlarged for 1/2a, Randy Randolph Nickel, Don Srull E2 Cub and hopefully something (TBD) for me. All 3-channel w/ .049 TD's and throttle sleeves.
We can't wait!
