I have emailed with Pat & he sounded a little more positive about making it. Hope he shows! Great, fun guy & superb model builder. Flying Models couldn't have chosen a better person to take over for Randy.

Mounted the TD .049 on a newly finished Baby Flite Streak this morning so it will be ready for SMALL. Had a phone conversation with Little Rock a while ago & he's got something like 9 1/2A C/L airplanes ready. There will be at least 3 Bislobs also for the C/L circle. Looking like a great meet & glow power making a nostalgic comeback! Weather permitting; this may be the best SMALL yet! (If that's possible)

The glow power comeback is outstanding! My last count was 60+ models powered by .010-.09 glow & diesel engines! That alone is rare now a days. You guys rock and I only hope that we can organize a group photo or two.

Guys...I just went through the June 2015 Model Aviation Magazine, which arrived today and guess what event is featured on page 87? You guessed it.....SMALL! I'm not sure if my conversation with Jay Smith about Cox PT-19s,1/2A models and SMALL at AMA Expo 2015 inspire his column, but check out page 8. It made me smile! All good for the hobby and this event. Thanks Jay!

Emmett & I used to have a deal, he'd bring some POS FF to SMALL & sell it to me for $5 & I had to fly it before the meet was over. Great fun!

I just returned from a long motorcycle trip that included an afternoon at the Joe Nall Fly-In in SC. Getting stoked now for SMALL! I've got a lot of castor degunking and such to do this next week before packing up for Arkansas. Getting excited about reuniting with all the regular low-lifes and meeting some new ones.

Wish I had known. You were only a few hours from my house when you were at Triple Tree. See you at SMALL!

Troy-Glad you made it home safe and looking forward to meeting you my friend.

Just 5 days to go until arrival. Praying for good weather and everyone's safe journey.

Best,
Tony & Evelyn

If it flies well; I'll build another with TD's & control line tanks so it will do inverted. Bet it sounds good!

Spirit of SMALL: We've had more fun with this stupid POS over the last 3 years than everything else put together. Worn out several engines trying unsuccessfully to kill it.

Not to belittle the efforts of the more serious modelers. There are some really impressive models in both technology & craftsmanship. Something for everyone! Going to miss Pat Tritle this year. Love seeing his models & enjoying his company.

Work's done! Now to make my Toyota into an aircraft carrier.

Update: Rav 4 is crammed so full of model airplanes & related junk there's barely room for me to drive. I should be at the field around 9:00 am. Forecast looks very good! this'll be fun!
