Default guided mite glide test

Good News!!! it flies!!!

Glide test worked out pretty good...it has elevator and rudder control at slow speed...the first flight went about 50 ft...second went 100 ft. it would've went further if the tree would've moved...

Now, the only reason it shouldn't fly is due to weight...it weighs close to 5-5 1/2 oz...
I don't think that is too heavy for the peewee .020...

What do you think about the weight problem??? Do you think it will fly???

That much weight is no problem at all for a PeeWee. I had a Payload free flighter years ago that weighed in at about 5 1/2 and it still managed a 60 degree nose up climb at a fair clip. And a rudder only Taylor Cub at 30 inch span came out to 10 oz and still managed to loop itself when coming out of a turn. You'll be in fine shape.

PS: You got that thing to glide 100 feet?!?!?!?!?! You must have one heckuva arm on you. I would think that a test glide on something like the Mite would be more of a rapid descent where you just look for it to maintain a flat attitude. 50 feet maybe but 100? Nope, that would take a javelin throw..... At least it gave you a chance to see how the controls worked.

Well.......
We certainly know who should be the pit man for the 'all up at one time' event!
If he can chunk a mite 100 ft, just think what he could do with a little more model!
HAW!!

My wife ran across the yard and gave it a hammer throw...
