Default Wright Flyer

I want to build this model using 2 small cox 0.49engines. I will make it out of depron, balsa and spruce. The question is how big should it be? I will use one hitec HS-55 and one HS-81. The model will have a small dihedral and will be controlled by the tail surfaces. O just don't know how to make the steering mechanism like it was in the original.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
P.S. Sorry for my bad grammar, I am a Pole.

With twin 049 running and keeping and airfoil similar to the original wright flier you should consider a wing area of 250 sq in per wing. Since its basically an airframe with thin airfoil wings there is a good amount of lift per weight ratio. Maximize the wing area to 300 sq_in if the weight is kept very low and you should have a very realistic flying bird.

Well, to make it controlled like the originall will be tough cause it used wing warping instead of ailerons.
! second !, 2 (cox).049's will make this thing a missle because they have no throttle and run wide open. now I've read alot of favorable things about using a brass sleeve around the cox .049 cylinder and servo control the size of the exhaust ports to throttle it down like deisel (kinda).
this might be the way, but youll need rudder and elevator and some way of throttling them down, maybe skip wing-warping all togther.....

even still with 2 .049's the wingspan will be really big.

But i'm glad yer gunna do it cause im too scared......
