Norvell .074 Idle Speed?
I finished my HOB Spacewalker last night and went to fly today. With a Thunder Tiger 7 X 4.5 prop, I am turning 13.8K top end and about 6K idle on 10% fuel. I was expecting a lower idle than that although I could land OK at that speed. I tried an APC 7X3; however, it did not seem to get up on the step, thus the prop above.
What is your experience, RPM, prop, & fuel involved? I believe there is an adjustmet on an excentric; however, I have not tried to work with that. I am loading the servo at idle, so the linkage does not seem to be the problem. Also, pushing on the throttle arm does not show any additional travel.
BTW, the Spacewalker flew great . I did a bolt on wing and pull-pull rudder control. I'll be out of town until Saturday for Christmas, so I'll look forward to your responses then
