This is probably the easiest way to decide on engine size limit.

Just a thought.

If this "contest" is about providing a forum for people to express their creativity then I fail to see any reason why the engine displacement should be limited to .061 in^3. I agree that there must be a limit, after all this is a 1/2A design contest, but why .061. The one advantage I can see to opening up the displacement of the contest is that perhaps more people will participate, and isn't that what this thing is all about.

Jaime.

well, 1/2a means .050 or less, and A class is .050 to .20; that is why the cox 049/051 was a big hit; you could fly 2 classes with the same plane. so allowing 061's is stretching the class as it is; of course, we could call it the small plane design contest, as defined by s.m.a.l.l. or the A design contest, or whatever! I fly a lot of .15 stuff, but hey; we gotta draw a line somewhere! but I really don't have a problem with allowing 074's, and if you guys allow it I will use one; I just don't want to see it wind up like 1/12 scale combat.

Yes, the contest starts on the first so I'll cut off this poll then.

I notice there are 31 votes so far. It will be interesting to see if there are that many entries.

I WANT an .074, this would be justification and FUN I'm in if it's .074!
