Default Davis .049 norvel diesel conversion

how do they throttle? has anyone used them? how do you like them? looks to be superior to standard nitro power?

was checkin on E-bay for used norvels and noticed them-

HI LONERANGER! I have heard stories about DIESELIZED COX TDs breaking off the crank pins. The pin on a NORVEL doesn't look much stronger. Small diesels sure are fun to watch, if you make a habit out of cranking the compression up carefully, and don't get carried away with too heavy of a prop the crank pin will stand a better chance. There is a way to phase the prop to the crank to produce the least amount of shock load to the crank pin, I am guessing it to be 90 degrees to TDC?
