Default Cox RC Bee .049 Questions

I just got a new Cox RC Bee .049 off of EBay. I'm puzzled by the soft gray rubber muffler-- it covers the entire muffler ring. There's a photo on Hepperle's site:

http://www.mh-aerotools.de/airfoils/cox_frameset.htm (Go to the Bee family)

How does this muffler system work?

What are your experiences with this engine?

Anyone know the history of these engines? Were they sold individually or as part of RC kits?

How do you fill the tank-- there's only one vent?

Thanks in advance for the help.

HI GEORGE! How are things down there in the EMERALD CITY? I GUESS you could point the nose of the plane straight down and use the feed line to the engine as your vent. Use a syringe to inject a prescribed amount of fuel,[through the tanks' only vent] . Looks like 3/4 oz would be a good guess to avoid flooding?
