Plyable heat shrink tubing?
Hello all, Does anyone know of a decent heat shrink tubing that is still reasonably plyable after it's been heated and shrunk? everything I've tried esentially ends up hard as a rock post heating. Thanks for any input.

RE: Plyable heat shrink tubing?
Raychem makes shrink tubing for all applications, and it is very pliable after shrinking. Radio Shack sells stuff I bought once and had the same complaint as you! It's just crummy stuff. Perhaps Raychem sells to a distributor that can be found by visiting the Raychem website. The run-of-the-mill tubing shrinks at a ratio of 3:1 in diameter and "not much" in length. So 1/8" to 3/16" tubing will work for most of our kind of work, and 1/4" to 5/16" dia is good for bundling 2 tubed wires together, as strain relief for Deans connectors and such. I hope you can find some good stuff, cause when it's good it's good!

Try this link, I purchased a pak and it's the type like "rubber", not the plastic kind. I even use it for needle valve extensions, stays put well , and flexes. should work for you.

The flexible heat shrink you are looking for is polyolefin. www.alliedelec.com
