Default How much aileron travel do I need?

So I get the fuse and wing done on my contest plane and realize I didn't leave enough room between the ailerons and the dowel for the wing hold downs so they hit the ailerons when they go down. I can't remember what I measured last night but how much is "standard" for a sport 1/2a of this size?

Later,
Tim

Tim, it doesn't take much to get a plane to be flyable, 1/4" either way from center if we are talking about a 1" flap is a pretty big angle.

Tim, since you built the wing flat, it may take a good bit of aileron, so 1/4 should be fine. It will be enough thats for sure. Just be prepared that it may be too much so go very easy on the stick. If you have dual rates 1/4 would be the high end and around 1/8 on the low.
