Default CNC routers? - a little OT, but looking for advice

All,

I have been seriously contemplating putting together a CNC router and was looking for advice. I know its only semi 1/2a related, but I think DB has one and was hoping for some wisdom and guidance from our esteemed tribal elders.

Thanks,
Duke

PS, been out with my exhaust throttled baby bee at the local field. Plane flies like a pig with too much weight and not enough wing, but the solid idle and throttle response has gotten a satisfying amount of attention from a field that seems to start at a .40 and go up.

Default RE: CNC routers? - a little OT, but looking for advice

Hey Duke, go for it! I've enjoyed mine a lot. Mine is going on 6 years old and still works like new but I'd love to build another one with more X-travel and a "tighter" worktable. I just got a small lathe so the replacement CNC machine is probably not going to happen. Now, about that CNC hotwire foam-cutter.....

The CNCZone is a cool place with good folks to answer questions. Look in the "DIY Wood Routers" forum....Balsaman is one of the experts.
