Default FYI: COX .074 NIB on theBay

For you COXists, there is a NIB COX .074 included in a group of engines on theBay, item #5909864152. I have no association; just ran across in a search.

Thanks for the pointer. Too bad the Queen Bee was such a pig...over weight and under powered.

Hey Tim --

I didn't know if it had any collector interest or not as a NIB, but knew you COX guys would be a lot more knowledgeable than me in evaluating it.

Never saw it until now. Guess engine fixation CAN be a good thing.

If I remember correctly, CHRIS CHIANELLI gave the QUEEN BEE a rave review! I bought one, ran it, sent it back to COX and told them to keep it.

i'm guessing that randy randolph didn't like it much either. no other explanation for that UGLY "spirit of 74" plane he designed around it.
maybe MAN forced him to do it??

HI DAVE, I think you're right. I've never been more thouroughly disgusted with any model engine purchase[:'(]. I think of myself as a stupid moth, and COX as the light bulb that I keep going back to and getting repeatedly burned by!!

EEEEUUUUUUU!
Big ol' "harry belly"!
EEEUUUUU!
The QB was not a shining moment in Cox R&D history.
And I have 4 of the dumb things! Gotta figgre out how
to re-cycle the carbs onto TeeDee .09's I suppose. Hmmm...
Could a TeeDee run on reed rear induction somehow??

Do the queen bees still bite with the rjl diesel head on? There is a pic of one in the diesel forum, but no mention of it running or not..
