Default Lanier dominator 200 + OS .10

I really like the looks of the Lanier Dominator 200. I have read all about the Norvel rods breaking, would an os .10 work well? slower/faster? which prop? could it handle the weight? Thanks, Hans

An OS 10 would work well, lots more power than a Big Mig. Use a 7-4 or 8-3 prop.

matchlessaero, whats the plane in your avatar? I like it Whats the biggest fuel tank that will fit in the nose of the dominator, maybe the sullivan bullet 2oz? I was thinking Hobbico CS12 hi speed servos, are there any better alternatives?

Default Dominator

Thanks Flybike . The plane in my avatar is my Pintail Q500. I race it in local races. I originally designed it on paper for AMA 428 approx 10 years ago. I won a lot of races around the South with the first versions of this plane. I have now redrawn / updated the plans on CAD. If you are interested, the plans (as well as several others) are available from my website (for free).

I am not sure if a 2oz would fit the Domi's fuse or not . There are several others that have built quite a few of them and could give you better advice in that matter. One tip I have gathered from some of the others on this site is that the Domi's nose is too short for a typical .049 or .061. With a larger engine such as a .10 you suggested, you may not have to lengthen the nose to get it to balance.

Default os 10

put a cox tee dee on it with an apc 5.7 X 3 a texaco head and 40% nitro and watch it scream, I use pressue on mine and love it its very fast, just remember that the added weight and power may fold the wing in a hard pull out, I moved all my radio gear to the cg and have no balance problems, my 2cents
