I usually do transparent labels on a colour laser printer, but they pretty much need to go on white covering or the background shows through. What I did on these was print them on white paper, but I put a yellow border around the black trim, so when I cut them out I could if I went slightly off it didn't show as a white mark.

Very nice, very nice. Hope we get some video from the maiden.... or at least shortly thereafter. Personally, I have enough to worry about with a maiden to worry with video.

And on a 4S 1300 with an 8-6 it hauls my Seawind like mad, loads of fun (the added torque is hard on the stock motor mount though, I left a motor on the bottom of the lake and glided home last year after it tore itself out). No doubt when Giorgio gets a bit of time on the sticks he'll start craving more power.

Finally got it out for a flight. I had been so long since I flew that both my transmitters needed new backup batteries and main batteries. I was surprised I still remembered how to fly. lol It was a pretty blustery day, which you can hear in the video, but it handled the wind pretty well.

My son was able to do a few circuits by the end of his first flying session. His knees were shaking, but he held in there.

You know, it's funny you mentioned that. We went out on Saturday and tried a .25 sized trainer because I thought it would be a little easier to take off on the grass and would handle the wind a little better. Often people think that slower responding, larger trainers are easier to learn with, but it was the opposite with my son. He couldn't get used to the delay between his inputs and the plane responding, causing him to hold the stick too long and to over correct. The smaller LST is just as forgiving but responds to stick inputs quite crisply, so we'll be using it in the future.

Yes, he does. I haven't bought a magazine since before RCM went out of business and they stopped construction articles. We haven't been able to find any mags at the drug/grocery store.

I was flying my almost 10 year old LST from our camping property in Seiku Washington, ( west of the town at Eagle Point) yesterday, and had a fly-a-way...

I think it is could have made the trip... Or its in the Strait of Juan De Fuca, but I have no doubt it has at the least violated your airspace

Anyone making a laser cut short kid for this one since the last time I looked?

I can just cut out a new kit, not a big deal, but did figure if someone is cutting them, I would support them.

It certainly is a great little plane to have around in the fleet.

My, my -- just stopped by for a quick look around and the old LST thread popped up again. Good threads never die, they just go dormant for a while. Andrew, good to see you're still occasionally around and still have an interest. When this forum slowed down, I started spending more time over in RCG and the COX Engine Forum, but I do miss the old gang and the former activity here. There are some crossovers, but mostly a new group of folks.

Man!! I remember the old days, around year 2003, when I joined the forum. The members of the old gang (sorry if I forget about someone), Gene Rock, D Fritzke, FlyinRog, BipeFlyer, Andrew (the other). Andy W, AJ Coholic, Combat Pig, Dickeybird, Skaliwag, Lynn S, and a few more. How much learned about 1/2A planes and engines here.

Yep. Seeing this made me realize yet again that mine is still not yet finished...... Was going to use a Medallion .049, then said nope and off to e-power. Well, it has gotten a bit closer to being completed in teh past few years. Will now Bee powered by a Cox Bee of some sort, depending on weight. If not, a Black Widow will be up front.

I don't hang around here as much these days. The forums I enjoyed here don't seem to get a whole lot of traffic in the past couple of years. My apologies to the faithful that have stuck with it.

While perhaps less busy now we did have our prime time for a few years there. I don't see Dickeybird around here much any more either. But like I've wandered on to other added interests I see Dickeybird posting over at Home Shop Machinist now and then.

I just went through some other older threads and came across the same issue, so it's not just this thread. Might be a RCU software/data issue. It'd be a shame if all the old attachments were lost for good.
