Look what Xanataclaus sent me
I just wanted everyone to know what a great guy Xanaphyst is.
A while ago I mentioned that I was trying to get one of the 7X12 mini lathes and he up an volunteered to break one up for me so that it could be put in in the post. You guys can all probably imagine what a major mission that is- numerous trips to the P.O to figure out the best way to send it etc etc etc etc...!!
Some guys around here have a habit of sending stuff for free and generally helping guys out when at a pinch. I think Xanaphysts effort tops the list.
Thanks very much Xanaphyst- I will always appreciate what you did.

Well what can I say...It's not everyday I get to help a Kiwi living in Japan who is building Russian aircraft I've been in my share of
"needed" things in the past and I know how frustrating it can be....BUT LET IT BE KNOWN IT'S NOT ALL A ONE WAY DEAL...I'm getting
a RE Norvy out of the deal !!!! (Kindness has it's rewards). Glad to help !!

HEY! I can set you up with a RE COX! I'm surprised that you had to go to such lengths to get a mini lathe. The education level is so high in JAPAN that I figured the average 7 year old already has machined a couple of 1/2A engines for science class. Just think, instead of video games, your kids can have "machine shop 101" when they get home from school!

Xanaphyst- The R.E engine is comming along nicely. It is in the oven at the moment to heat cure the second lot of resin. Needless to say it will be getting the full J.M Treatment before you get it

RE: Look what Xanataclaus sent me
Sounds great !!! No need to rush it......I'll take quality over quickness any day !!!! I was reviewing my RE norvy the other day trying
to decide where the weak numbers were coming from so I took the engine apart for inspection. I noticed I had not machined enough
out of one of the transfer ports and causing it to be half blocked !!! How did I miss that !!!!! I'll get around to it when I get the chance
and compare the numbers... Anyways..how about this port timing on the exhaust..how do I modify it for more top end ???
Hope your enjoying your well-traveled lathe....My back seat looks empty with it gone[X(]
