Hey "free" cox engine?
In the control line trainer Cox PT-19 Classic C/L Trainer 22.5" there is a .049 cox engine included, for $ 29.99 ? Is it a normal cox engine ? I mean it sounds good, 30 bucks for a "plane" and a cow engine. Can you get the engine out of there, has anybody ever tried this?
bye bye

RE: Hey "free" cox engine?
On the nicer side, it is a double bypass.(I've got one) If I was looking for just an engine, the blackwidow only cost about six bucks more and has the tank. The tank on the pt-19 is part of the plane. I used it to convert a 540 electric glider and it worked very well. And if all you have sitting around is a 4oz tank...don't let a friend fuel it up for you! He laughed for about an hour before I finally turned it into a lawn dart.
Never flew the pt-19 though. Not sure why

I don't think it would work very well Not enough room, it's simply not designed for it. Plus the rudder is turned hard to the right(?). The main reason is the severe lack of wing area. A more appropriate engine for an r/c airplane of that size is the peewee 020 or td 010. But that's based on a three year old memory of an airplane I never flew.
