Default I flew my cherokee today.

I just came back from the field. It was cold and muddy so i came back early.

This plane is flying very good. Its slow flying is also so good i could fly as slow as my herr piper cub. I on purposely shut the engine on one landing and see how it glides it does glides pretty good to.

This plane needs a lot of rudder to turn. Even though i have max throw it still is hard to turn. But i think it makes it fly easier and smoother.

Here are some pics of it. I have alot but these are the good ones.

HI ENCAN, looks real nice! I am only judging from the photo and your inflight testing that the wing doesn't have enough dihedral to be real snappy. The dihedral that your plane has looks like what some low wingers would use with ailerons. A rudder/elevator plane can actually be a pretty lively and snappy performer with the right balance of dihedral, CG and rudder control force. If you get to the point someday where you want more roll control, just saw the wing in half and splice in a dihedral brace with a greater angle. The drawback here is lots of dihedral gives the plane a cartoonish look, but the funny look goes away when the plane starts boring holes in the sky!

Looks great Encan. Glad you were able to fly today. It was blowing like heck here. Where are you flying, if you tell me that's your back yard I'm jealous. Good advice from CP. It sounds scarry sawing a wing you spent a good amount of time building and covering but it'll make a world of difference with the roll rate.

Thanks for the nice words.

Combat pigg i built it just as the plans says and in the design there is no ailerons so i thought it is ok. Anyway It is not uncontrollable at all. It just a little slower response than my other 2 planes (Herr cub and Herr star cruiser). It is fun this way too.

rrragmanliam;

no it is not my backyard i wish i had a backyard like that. Well i wish i owned a home first of all. I am a foreigner here in the US as student and i live in a one room apartment. This is the first reason i build small planes(i also like them better than bigger ones too). Not enough room. It is already filled with 3 planes. i would like to build more but dont know what to do with these other ones. That is the clubs field that we have here in Cape Girardeau.

Nah, the glow head was the only casualty. Thanks for the compliment--I am happy with the way the bug came out, but I don't think it looks nearly as nice as your cherokee! I swear, that last pic you posted looks like the real thing coming in on final if you just look at it right[8D].
