Default cold effecting starting?

bought a new coz black widow off ebay an dit wil start a bt then die, i am thinking it is because of the cold, it is about 30-40. i am useing a 2 d batteries to start it.

is this a problem?

was is new in the box , or flown on sundays by a little old lady, what kind of fuel,, how is the element color when you hook up the glow head,,good batteries?,,is it just burning off the prime? or does it run for 20 seconds and then die....need this kind of info....Rog

Sam, Sounds to me like it's a little too lean. Try riching it up by turning the needle valve counter clockwise about a half turn at a time untill it will stay running. Then gradually turn it back in untill you reach peak RPM. Cox's need high nitro fuel also, I use 25% with castor. Good luck, Prop
