Default missing website http://my.pclink.com/~dfritzke/index.html

I haven't been around here in a VERY long time and I have a question. Does anyone know what happened, or does Dave Fritzke come around here. I miss his website http://my.pclink.com/~dfritzke/index.html and would love to see it back up, whats the deal with that? As it stands I have one worn old copy of the lil roughneck and intend to redraw it on CAD and put it back out on the web (between my wife delivering babies that is). Wheres Dave, wheres the site and all those great plans?

See this [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Fantastic_plans_website%25%25%25/m_2652464/tm.htm]thread[/link] starting with Post #5. The page was shut down due to industry pressure.

Andrew can you (or somebody else) define "industry pressure". Why would a site possessing OLD plans have any bearing on current industry? Makes no sense.

Some of the current companies hold the copyright to the old plans.

Hey bipe, you think we could safely have some of the old plan/articles up in the files section of the 1/2a all the way site? Perhaps it would only be a matter of time though before those got narked too, but maybe not, what with the site membership hurdle and all..

I can understand copy rights but these are 40 year old plans. Thank god I saved waht little I have, I generaly burn them all to a disc as I get them. Anyone know where Dave got them from? Where are they going to now?

Clint,

I think that we'd be told to take them down. MS might even shut down the site completely if someone complained enough. If someone wants to post old plans, check with the copyright owner and see what they say.

Lanier owns Goldberg, so a person could ask them if the JR Falcon and JR Skylark plans can be posted. Anything from MAN or RCM is likely to be a no go. Top Flite may allow the old Jigtime series that they don't sell anymore, such as the Ranger and Rascal.

IF they can make you pay for it, they will.

Doesn't matter whether they produce them anymore or not.

Fact is most of this stuff has been bandied about in PD for so long it's stupid to take it all down now.

I'm very displeased at the narrowmindedness shown by "the Industry"

Oh well, industry or no doesn't stop a man with autocad and the inclination to redraw and send across the globe thier precious 40 year old plans in every format there is. Like 40 year old plans have been selling like hot cakes these days....... sheeeesh!!!

Lil Roughnecks for everybody!!!!
