The Guillows scale kit are not the best ones out there. Tend to have nice plans, but poor wood and die-cutting. All the conversions I know of took a lot of work and generally didn't fly all that well. Here's a plane that one of our club members did in CL. He said that it flew, but was a handful under any but perfect conditions. Don't mean to discourage you too much, but be prepared for quite a bit of work. There are easier ways...
Norman Andersen with his very detailed Nieuport 11 built from a Guillows kit.
Converted to C/L with a Norvel .061 for power.
