Default Throttle sleeve for the Dragon Fly

Can some one measure the O/D on the D/Fly Cylinder? This Throttle Sleeve they are offering may fit the Sure Start, in which case you could conceivably get a throttled Cox for les than $20. The O/D on the Sure Starts are .581 or .582 before morning break. It would save me doing any... I can't make 'em and sell 'em for a
"ten-ner".

The DF sleeve is different than the regular sleeve, I think that it will fit the cylinder OD but you´ll need clearance between the cylinder and the needle valve to rotate sleeve/muffler body. Regards.

My tech guy says that throttle sleeve will only fit the Dragonfly and the
Medallion .049.

Hi Guys,

Be careful about throttle sleeves for Cox engines.
Cox grinds the cyl. to fit their sleeve.
Ace used to have one that fit an unground cyl.
That is why there are at least 2 sizes of throttle sleeves for 049's.
Good luck,
bob G
