Default wing loading on 22" span Ultimate Bipe

What kind of goal should I be shooting for? All up weight? I'm a new to the small planes. By the way, it'll be electric powered. Any recommendations for an outrunner, lipo size, speed control, etc? thanks!

Default RE: wing loading on 22" span Ultimate Bipe

I built 2 of them last year, at 24" span. The first one weighs about a pound and it flies OK, but not good enough. The second one weighs about 14 ozs, and it is much more aerobatic. It flew OK with an .061, but more like a 3D plane with the .074. It has 5 HS 55s and is set up with spoilerons, for the best action.Hard to improve on the original .60 sized version.
