RE: 2006 Design Contest Official rules
I am also way behind (still in the design/drawing phase), having taken on too many other projects and obligations. I'm not certain when I will be able to finish, though I am planning to finish eventually. Any reasonable extension may not be enough time for me, so either way is ok with me. Maybe I'll have it ready for next year's contest.

RE: 2006 Design Contest Official rules
I posted here yesterday afternoon and now it's gone... I tried to get on RCU later that night and they said there was a corruption problem that they were fixing.
Anyways, what I said was that I would take an extra month.... should give me enough time to finish things up.

I have mine finished and ready for the air. However on 4-18 I burnt my hand at work. The doctor said it's doing OK. But will be a couple more weeks until I have full use of it again. So for now doc said only left hand work.

Would love to have an extra week or so. Finding bits of time here and there to work on my entry, should be done soon.
Plus, I wanna see Ken's Switchblade, AJ's Wing, Tim's Miss Conduct, and many others finished up and flying. Lots of guys look like they're real close, just need a few hours of quality time to get 'em done...

You guys are going to want to kill me, but I haven't had a chance to setup the voting site or the shirts - let alone finish my entry. I'm leaving for a few days to go to a float fly then I'm going to be busy catching up work next week, so would anyone object to putting off starting the voting until June 9th (next Friday)? It would also give guys a chance to finish up their models.

Should I cut it off tonight at midnight, or do you guys need more time? I want to see indoorff finish his FGR canard.

Bipe Flyer,
Was gone all weekend, but it was pleasing to see all the latest updates on several of the entries. Cool stuff!
It's kind of puzzling why there haven't been more responses to the deadline question. Far as I'm concerned, it's your contest and you should extend it until your airplane is done.

Sorry, I've been quite busy lately. I guess we should wrap things up before it runs into next years contest. It's not my contest, I've just tried to help keep it going. I'm a little disappointed that I couldn't finish a plane this year, but sometimes that's the way it goes. Are we still on for shirts?

I'm up for a shirt, assuming I still qualify. I should have a little more time to work on the La-7 soon. Still working out the drawings. Maybe I'll get it finished some time this year.

OK, the voting pages are up. Same deal as in previous years. Go to the contest site, select the plane you want to give 3 points to fromt he first dropdown, select 2 points from the second and then one of the radio buttons for the single point. If you only see the radio buttons and not the dropdowns, click on the login link on the top right of the screen.
I'll get going on the shirts as soon as I can.

I've created the shirts on cafepress.com.
Go to http://www.cafepress.com/12a_challenge to buy the shirts. There are white, ash, golf and also a mug for those of you who like to drink coffee while building. Please note that there are 2 white shirts. The cheaper one has the logo on the front only. All of the other shirts have the logo on the front and the list of contestants on the back.
P.S.
I'd like to give a big thanks to Marc for allowing us to use the RC Universe logo!

Congratulations Combatpigg!
The voting was very close this year. Great job on all your planes guys. It's great to see some really interesting designs come out year after year.
I hope to see pictures posted here of you guys in your fancy new shirts!
