Default Two projects

Here's acouple of things I've been working on.

First is a Sig Deweybird, Needed to do somthing with an old Black Widow and I kind of caught the control line bug again.

Secondly from the can it be done files. Another Guillows conversion. It's the 16.5 inch wingspan F6F. I'm going for a A/E set up with a Cox .010. I wanted to keep the outboard aileron set up so I used a 90 degree bell crank set up made from small control horns. I found some itty bitty 3.7 gram servos, so we will see. 50 mAh nicad and micro rx will complete the set up. Covering will be dope and tissue with no paint. I'm just going to use the tank mount with the engine. I'm hoping for a couple of 9o second flights before it gets turned into a jumbled pile of sticks.

Neat.....

I see some extra plates in the wing where the landing gear normally goes. I sure hope those are just for static display though. Something this small would need a paved runway to takeoff from and without rudder it would get REALLY interesting in a hurry.

Nice pictures!

This reminds me of my own Guillow's Hellcat kit.
I didn't start building yet because I discovered that the nose cowl is almost the same size as the tiny prop for the .010.......
In my opinion this could be a problem, but I might have it wrong.

I love to see the TD.010 on the front of Micro Warbirds but I am inclined to agrre about the frontal area being too large for the 3 inch prop.
A geared electric might be a better choice for a source of power on this one.
